Interactive Online Self-Paced Format Description

Self-Paced OnlineStudy tax law from your home or office.  The interactive structure of our Self-Paced Online course format combines the best elements of a live class with the convenience of allowing students to work at their own pace.

  • Students watch a video-recording of a live lecture provided by one of Pacific Northwest Tax School's skilled instructors.
  • Access course manuals, tests and test answer keys using our online Learning Management System (LMS)
  • A Q&A Forum is provided in the LMS for all courses. Interactive self-paced online students may use the Q&A Forum to post questions and receive answers from course instructors about topics and assignments included with each course.
  • Upon successful completion of a course, students are able to print certificates of completion.
  • Classwork is provided to review key points covered in the Course.
  • Course materials provided to students include a detailed student Manual, classwork answer keys, quiz and quiz answer key.

Advance Preparation Required (for Self-Paced Online Students)

Our online Learning Management System (LMS) is easy and fun to use however first-time users of our online education programs should devote not less than one half hour to reading our Student LMS User Manual prior to beginning a course.

Our LMS education platform requires an up-to-date Adobe Flash® Player and use of a high-speed internet connection.  To ensure your learning experience is worthwhile and productive we ask all students to take the time to become familiar with our education platforms before attending class.

Please complete ALL of the following tasks prior to beginning your first course:
 

  • Read the Student LMS User Manual,
  • Download and print the Student Manual.

Recommended Minimum Requirements

The following requirements are recommended for using our LMS site.  Few students have reported success while operating outside of these requirements, therefore these are provided as a guideline for troubleshooting if you are having difficulties viewing or operating in our LMS site.  If you would like to test your system on our LMS site without paying for a course, then try our Free Sample Course.
