As a single parent, Portland native SanDee Tharp raised a family while working toward her Associate Degree from Lower Columbia Community College. Upon graduation, she set her business management talents to work as Traffic Manager for Polytron, Corp. where she designed and implement a highly successful program to ship, track, and deliver products to over 10,000 customers nationwide.
Ready for new challenges, Ms. Tharp joined Envision Strategic Marketing Design Group as Vice President of Operations. Her responsibilities included financial management, logistics, project management, and public relations.
In 1993, Ms. Tharp began a new career with Meier and Frank as Designer Coordinate Specialist. She achieved the Diamond Star Award which was the highest level of customer service recognition given to any employee of the company. For 8 consecutive years, she received membership in the President’s Club, a prestigious award given to employees who achieve $500,000 or more in annual personal sales.
In 2002, Ms. Tharp decided to pursue an interest in taxes by enrolling in Pacific Northwest Tax School’s 80-Hour Basic Tax Course. She graduated as a top student and after successfully passing the Oregon Tax Board’s LTP exam came to work for the company. After working two seasons as a LTP, she passed the Board LTC exam and is now licensed as a Tax Consultant.
In 2004, Ms. Tharp moved from seasonal tax preparer work to a full-time position with Pacific Northwest Tax Service as Director of Education and Personnel. Her current duties include tax school administration and instruction as well as tax consulting and preparation services for a broad range of clientele.
Outside of her professional career, Ms. Tharp is an avid Nascar fan. Her interests include interior decorating, reading, and entertaining. She shares her home with husband, Brian, and two pet cats.
